Spirit, Mind and Body
Isaiah 53 verse 5 -> “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed”.
Years ago in Sept. 2007 the Lord showed me clearly in a dream that I was standing on the platform, encouraging the faithful members of the church. While speaking I saw a lot of them carrying garbage bags on their backs.
They were serving God but did not have the mindset that He paid it ALL on Calvary. People were faithfully coming to church, they knew when to praise, pray and go through the motions; but were not able to trust God to the fullest and to cast their burdens upon Him. We’ve been forgiven at the altar, we’ve been redeemed, we’ve been to the foundation classes, giving tithes and offerings, lifting-up holy hands, working in different departments in ministry and STILL possess burdens in their spirit…… though it is written “It is finished’.
Somewhere along the road we’ve lost confidence, patience and our relationship with Christ weakened. We are champions in holding on to the past, we are stuck in self-pity. We have learned to NOT let go and tend to pick-up old issues while waiting for an answer from the God say, we trust…………
Proverbs 23 verse 7-> “ for as he thinketh in his heart, so is he……”
Everything you see began with a thought. So as we grow and want to mature in this life as a believer, we have to stay connected to the “Source”. Furthermore, we need to develop a lifestyle of reading God’s word and standing on His promises, embracing that he is faithful God. As a result of this, things will turn around in HIS time and according to His will and plan. So we have to create an atmosphere of trust and patience in this life with Christ.
This is how life works-> A thought becomes a saying, then an action; an action repeated becomes a habit, which develops into
your character, and finally will determine your destiny. We are human with spirit beings, we have a soul and live in this
earthly vessel called body. According to Ezekiel 36:26-27 we have a promise (verse 26 +27a); and in verse 27b we find the part that we have to do, which is meditating on the word of God that has to become a daily attitude; a process through which the Holy Spirit will guide and lead us.
We have to realize that we are in charge of our thoughts. What we choose to believe, determines our outcome. The choice can be “Meditating on the word of God” or ‘Poison our thoughts by listening to things that will not build us up”. Just keep in mind that all that you hear, look at or the people you associate, will have an effect on your thinking.
Know that our soul consists of mind, will, emotions and intellect. So, if you choose to meditate on a subject, then your whole body be consumed with it, because that’s the choice you’ve made with your mind (which is part of your soul). Your spirit is renewed and CANNOT sin, but your soul and body still have to be transformed by the renewing of the mind.
Paul says in 2 Corinthians 10 verses 3-5, that “ ..………. (verse 5)
we have to bring every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God into captivity, every thought to the obedience of
So people, study the Word of God, mediate on it, then decree and declare it!
Remember it’s not an overnight thing,
but you have to give the starting signal !!
